Carnival of colour

I recently created this gorgeous colourful inspiration board with a summery carnival theme. Pastel shades are paired with pops of hot pink and citrus shades, and balanced with aqua and turquoise.
This theme uses lots of flowers, and fun is the main feature; think popcorn, balloons and carnival tickets as props! It's a child's dream in a grown up theme!

It's everything Pink Lemonade Productions stands for <3

Short and sweet.

Keep things interesting.

Dinner, Dancing and Decadence...Speakeasy Soirée

Exciting news!

We at Pink Lemonade Productions are hosting our very first Charity fundraising event, taking place at Crowne Plaza Five Lakes, Maldon, Essex on May 2nd of this year.
The event is being held in aid of London based Tiny Tickers, a charity that exists to improve the early detection and care of babies with serious heart conditions.

Every year in the UK, 5,000 babies are born with congenital heart defects (CHD). 3,000 will have a CHD requiring major surgery or a procedure in their first year of life, but less than half of these serious defects are detected before birth on average so many babies are sent home without a diagnosis or appropriate care.

Tiny Tickers is working to improve early detection, so that more heart babies receive the care they need, avoid unnecessary illness and have a chance of a better start in life, and if the public profile of this incredible cause is raised, Tiny Tickers stands a much better chance of saving tiny hearts across the country.

As many people already know, Pink Lemonade Productions has chosen Tiny Tickers to be our 2015 Charity of the Year as it is one that means a great deal to us. My best friend of 20 years lost her firstborn child, a baby girl named Hope, to a congenital heart defect when she was just a few hours old. April 3rd marks the seven year anniversary of Hope's untimely passing.

In honour of Hope, and of all the Heart Babies, past, present and future, We are hosting a fundraising Dinner and cabaret style event with a Prohibition Speakeasy theme. The whole venue is going to be decadently styled by us to take our guests back to the glory days of back door clubs, illegal liquor, glamorous women and high rollers.
We are offering tickets to the event at £50 per person, to include a three course dinner, wine, a welcome drink and fantastic entertainment throughout the evening from incredible big band, Swing Machine.

We are also going to be holding a Diamond Draw during the course of the evening, where this stunning Black Diamond and Swarovski Crystal ring, courtesy of Victoria's Candy, is up for grabs! We also have a piece of incredible artwork fom Smashed Hits - broken + vinyl = Art being auctioned on the evening.

Help us spread the word about our event by telling everyone you know, and even people you don't!

Tickets can be purchased by emailing Natalie@pinklemonadeproductions.co.uk or by calling 07708215858.

We're doing our bit for charity this year, and you can too!

We are seeking sponsorship, raffle prizes and auction lots for our event; if you can help please contact Natalie@pinklemonadeproductions.co.uk

In loving memory of Hope

A little more inspiration... Rustic Country Garden Party

Just a quick post to share a few more of the inspiration boards I have put together with complimenting themes; garden party and country rustic!

I picked out popular shades of purple for this board...proving this theme's versatility

Vintage props inspired this rustic board...

Pastels shades and lots of texture feature here...

This board was festival inspired with lots of soft feminine details.

Short but sweet, I'll keep sharing boards as I make them!

Keep searching for inspiration!

Thinking outside the box...

Happy New Year!
I feel awful having abandoned my beloved blog for sooo long, but my New Year's Resolution has been to keep sharing my experiences and ideas with you all! So many people have asked me when the next blog post will be, so Myah, Stacey and Karis...this one is especially for you!

Also, as a side note, a MASSIVE congratulations to my very own Disney Princess Myah, who got engaged to her partner Lawrence during his recent visit to Florida, where the lovely Myah is completing her second Cultural Representative Program with the Big Cheese, Mickey Mouse himself! Exciting stuff!

So, the inspiration for blog post comes from a lady who contacted me recently about her upcoming wedding. Her colour scheme is red and navy, since her husband to be is in the military. Initially I thought I would hit an inspirational wall, but having done a little bit of research, I came up with an inspiration board that I hope she will love.

The venue, Hintlesham Hall, is a Grade 1 listed Country House that sits snugly on the Suffok / Essex border and truly is stunning. Having had connections to the Tudor Royals, and prestigious families throughout it's lengthy history, it's easy to see how prospective Brides and Grooms could consider it the perfect place to say 'I do' and begin married life together.

The Bride to Be wanted classic elegance with a hint of sparkle, and so I came up with collage of images that I feel would do the venue justice,

The more I looked at this colour scheme, the more I fell in love with it. For the second time this year, I've been asked to do something a bit different, and I am finding new possibilities outside of my comfort zone! This colour scheme works. It's rich, it's classic and if done properly, is really elegant!

What are your thoughts on colour schemes 'outside the box'? Let me know in the comments section!

Take a risk and you'll surprise yourself :)
